Be yourself

Word for 2011

My word of the year is TRY.
I give up too easily,
I don't start because I think I'll never finish,
This year if it looks interesting,
if it looks worthwhile,
if it's something I always wanted to do,
well, this year I'm going to TRY
and lets see how much more I can achieve

Bed Back and Beyond

Hello you, how are things?
*
Here we've just finished.....
five months of house-fixing-activities
thirty days of car-filled-drop-offs of little stuff
one day of removals-men-with-van for big stuff
Job done.
Well, erm, kind of,
Someone has another couple of weeks dismantling/rebuilding
office/work-shop man-type-stuff.
Me?
Hmmm, ok,
it has to be said,
I'll be twiddling my paint brush for a little while longer
*
But not today
today my back hurt
so, I gave it.....
*
A cosy bed
a hot water bottle
soup
chocolate
painkillers

and a very good book

 I'll start unpacking....tomorrow

*deep sigh*
*
Happy. soon. me :)

  1. Hi Pamela
Hope the back feels better soon, sure the chocolate will help :)

My OH still has a pile of stuff to unpack that looks like that one. good luck with your unpacking and decluttering.

  2. yes indeed! i'm going to take your very fine recommendation of soup, chocolate, a hot water bottle, plus painkillers. i think that'll fix my little neck, or at least make me not care. :) the road, quite bleak reading i must say. i did love that book, but blood meridian is even better, in my opinion. i love cormac mccarthy...

i hope you feel better! it must be such a relief to be at this stage, even if there IS still the putting-away to be done.

  10. Hope you feel better soon, although that does sound like a lovely way to spend a day (minus the pain, of course, although I fond sometimes a bit of not feeling well is required for me to actually take the time off). I do love a good day in bed with a book and a hot water bottle.

  13. Hello everyone this is a very unhappy Pamela just trying to let all friends know that I've locked myself out:(
Blogger isn't happy with my tendency to mess-up on the username and password details and won't let me in. I'm trying to stay hopeful that this situation can be resolved and normal service will be resumed soon, meantime I'll still visit my favourite blogs and you can email me at ms_pam_ella@hotmail.com
    love you all:) xxxpamela
